Mit diesem Quad-Node System hat ASUS wirklich ein kleines Wunderwerk auf die Beine gestellt. Auf nur 2HE fassen sich so 4 eigenständige und dedizierte Dual-Socket Server ein. Jeder Node ist dabei voll ausgestattet mit zwei Sockel 2011-3 für Prozessoren der Haswell Generation (Xeon E5-v3), 16 Bänke für DDR4 ECC RDIMM, 3x SATA 3.5" (mittels der Chassis Front, Hot-Swap), zwei Intel I210 GbE Ethernet Schnittstellen, eine PCIe x8 Low-Profile Aufnahme und ein m.2 SATA Steckplatz (2242).
Ebenfalls hat ASUS jeden Node mit einem umfangreichen BIOS, einer Diagnose 7-Segment Anzeige, eine ASMB Fernwartungsschnittstelle (ähnlich Supermicro IPMI / HPE ILO / Dell iDrac) und einer MESSAGE-LED ausgestattet. So haben Sie volle Information und volle Kontrolle über jedes System.
Sie erhalten also pro physischem Server ein (1x) Chassis sowie vier (4x) Nodes, die als Einheit ein ASUS RS720Q-E8-RS12 System ergeben. So könnten Sie im theoretischen Vollausbau (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) bis zu 144 Kerne und 288 Threads und 4096GB an RAM in nur 2HE unterbringen. Viel Leistung, wenig Geld und wenig Platz.

Jede Maschine wurde von uns getestet, das BIOS zurückgesetzt und eine frische VARTA Batterie verbaut. Es ist daher nach Installation von passenden Komponenten direkt einsatzfähig.

With this Quad-Node System ASUS really created something Special. On just 2U you can get 4 Independent and Fully-Featured Dual-Socket Servers. Each Node is equipped with two 2011-3 Sockets (for Xeon E5 v3 Haswell Generation CPUs), 16 DDR4 ECC RDIMM Sockets, 3x SATA 3.5" (at the front of the Chassis), two Intel I210 GbE Ethernet Connections, a PCIe x8 Low-Profile Slot as well as an m.2 SATA NGFF Slot (2242).
Furthermore, ASUS equipped each Node with an advanced BIOS, a 7-Digit Diagnostic Display, a ASMB Management Port (similiar to Supermicro IPMI / HPE ILO / Dell iDrac) and a MESSAGE-LED. So you can have full Information and Control over each Server.
This means that you are getting one (1x) physical Server (Chassis) and four (4x) Independent Nodes, that Combine into one ASUS RS720Q-E8-RS12 System. In Theory that means if you install the System with the highest possible CPUs and RAM (not included) you could get up to 144 Cores / 288 Threads and 4096GB of DDR4 ECC Memory in just 2U. That's a Ton of Power for not much Money and Space.
