Er vereint in nur 2 Höheneinheiten 4 GPU oder Co-Prozessorkarten, die jeweils 2 PCIe Slots mit einer Anbindung von PCIe 3.0 x16 haben, sowie ein Power-Limit von 300W (8-Pin PCIe GPU Stromkabel) besitzen. Das Mainboard kann mit Xeon E5-2600 V1 und V2 CPUs sowie 16x DDR3 ECC RDIMM Arbeitsspeicher ausgestattet werden. Zusätzlich steht noch ein PCIe 2.0 x8 Slot als Low-Profile HHHL zur Verfügung, über den z.B. andere Netzwerkschnittstellen realisiert werden können.
Achtung, das benötigte Low-Profile Adapterblech ist nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten!
Der Server wird bereits mit zwei E5-2670 Prozessoren. Sie installieren nach Wunsch Arbeitsspeicher, Grafikkarten oder Co-Prozessorkarten (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) und schon kann es losgehen.
Auf der Front finden 8x 3.5" SATA Einschübe sowie die üblichen Taster und LEDs.
Auf der Rückseite befindet sich der gesamte I/O Bereich, 2x 1GbE via Intel 82574L, 1x ASMW6 Fernwartungsschnittstelle inklusive Lizenzdongle, USB, VGA Ausgang sowie eine Mellanox Connect-X 3 FDR 40Gbps Infiniband Schnittstelle.
Wer einen GPU-Server sucht, wird um diesen ehemaligen Rechenknoten eines mitteldeutschen Supercomputers nicht herumkommen.

With this ASUS ESC4000 G2 you get an efficient, space-saving and cost-effective GPU server.
It combines 4 GPU or co-processor cards in only 2 height units, each of which has 2 PCIe slots with a PCIe 3.0 x16 connection, as well as a power limit of 300W (8-pin PCIe GPU power cable).
